Fire Alarm

A fire alarm is like a building's personal bodyguard against fire. It's a system designed to detect a fire early and then warn everyone in the building so they can get to safety.
These are the "eyes and nose" of the system. They constantly look for signs of fire, like smoke (with smoke detectors) or unusual heat (with heat detectors). Some even have a "pull station" where people can manually activate the alarm if they see a fire. All these detectors are connected to a central "control panel" (like a computer). When a detector senses a fire, it sends a signal to this panel.
